"Sometimes it's quite a large world, huh. Two people can travel many places and never meet. As for the freehold, no. That's not my plan. Although I have heard there are many interesting pieces of literature gathered here" Eliza looked over the gathering for a few moment as they walked on the outskirts "I may have to seek out some to see what the fuss is about."

She looked back at the doll after a few moments, then added "I assume you have pledged then?"

Literature. Well, perhaps not as much now as yesterday. But no point in crying over it to some stranger. But she had not heard that any of it was particularly noteworthy enough to be considered special compared to other freeholds. But there was little time to contemplate the matter before a question was raised at her.

"I have joined de court of autumn, thus it is so."

There was a nod at the confirmation. The question that followed might be surprising, but it was asked matter-of-factly.

"Mais, sometimes, de dings dat best fo' us don' taste so sweet, beb," her eyes were kind, caring. "I be' in Minuit fo' a few years, jus' 'nother mortal in dese par's. Righ' up to dree month ago."

"Meh. My pa used to say the same. He died all the same." the beast shrugged. "Oh, you are local then." Marcus sounded surprised. "I'm from Grand Isle." If Chantelle knew of the place, which was relatively important harbor, she'd knew there was little grand about the island. The town outside the harbor was home to a thousand or so people. No college, no future."Didn't feel safe sticking around after." He swallowed the sentence, figuring she'd understand. "Was going to New Orleans. Ended here instead."

"Gray," Dily spoke softly, her breath frozen in the air as if the temperature was much colder than it actually is. "What do you think - of the gathering?"

"It's not exactly my kinda party. Too many folks." Gray spits out the now bare fish bone and begins twisted a crawdad to suck out the head. "And there's something that's got a chill on my spine. Some long time guests ain't here, and it seems that's 'spicuous."

Redmane turned his head towards Triss and the back to Craig and said, “She’s a good sort, we can do her a solid and at least give a helping hand. Boney is good enough folk, known worse and at least he always paid for his cuts.”

“But if you’re in a giving mod maybe you can help out my boy, Tyrese. Kids man… you know how it is, he at that age where he gotta fight about everything. I bet if I told him to keep breathing he’d hold his breath just to spite me.”

Craig nodded again "my thoughts exactly, Boney seemed good people. Would hate to think something bad happened to him."

An eyebrow arched a bit "I mean word on the street is that 5th Street is trying to get their hooks in him, I'd hate to see that happen. That boy has a good bit of potiential, be a shame to see it wasted by him becoming his father." There was a decidedly disdainful tone when Craig spoke about the young man's biological father. "I can try and talk to him sometime at the shop, maybe I'll get him to try out for the wrestling team." Craig chuckled a bit.

[Redmane]

Redmane nodded and said, "I would appreciate it, ain't sure how else to reach him otherwise."

"You got it boss." Craig took his plate of BBQ "no thanks necesarry, gotta keep the man who makes the best short ribs in Minuit happy." He smiled "Now I'm going to wander off with these but dont fret too much I'm sure I'll be back soon enough." Craig said with a chuckle as he found a near by table to sit with his food.

The giant of a man lapsed into silence as he ate but did not appear unapproachable or hostile. Merely a man enjoy a good plate of southern BBQ.

She paused, observing any response; twitchings of facial muscles, hints of thoughts hidden behind the eyes.

"C’est tout, Belle. No exceptions."

The little darkling stopped and stared at Eliza, before leaning forward slightly, head angling up.

She paused, observing any response; twitchings of facial muscles, hints of thoughts hidden behind the eyes.

"C’est tout, Belle. No exceptions."

The girl looked down at the small darkling with the disinterested look she had worn the whole time. She paused for a few moments after the woman finished before the first brief appearance of emotion actually appeared on Elizas face; a look of approval.

"You have a similar thought process as me Very similar. I can accept this reason. We walk different courts in different lives with the same way of being. Something I can say with compete honesty that I have never come across in all the previous meetings I have had with others."

There was a nod.

"Thank you."

The young brewer was good and rightly drunk, and had a serious case of the giggles. Her cheeks were rosy, eyes were bleary, her metal/oilslick fingers were glinting in the evening lights as she held her cup, and she was exceedingly comfortable in her chair.
