Redmane smiled revealing his sharpened teeth as he turned his attention to Craig and began fixing a plate of ribs and hotlinks. He replied, “Good, I ain’t cooked all this for my health, you keeping busy?”

It was a simple question but having experience with the military life, violence in the line of duty, and the trauma of the Lost it was delivered with a smile but had a serious gaze. Plus Redmane was a Marine, and they say once a Marine always a Marine.

Craig nodded, smile still in place "You know I try to. Actually have a few good boys on the wrestling team this year, should give those Baton Rouge boys a run for their money this year, maybe even make it to state. Had a couple girls try out even. Some of the boys dont know how to handle it, 'fraid of hurtin one of the girls. but the girls dont got no such reservations and so for now they keep beating up on the boys. Keep trying to tell the boys it dont matter if it's a boy or a girl across from em on that mat gotta go hard no matter what." His voice marked him as not southern probably somewhere up north but being in Minuit for a few years was starting to leave a bit of a mark. Craig took a deep breath as he glanced around the party, an amused smile on his lips "but it's hard to beat those southern manners out of em."

He paused slightly before remembering his activities today "Oh and I was thinkin of helping Alsuf out with a little problem you may have heard of. Not for the big oaf's sake but you know I try and keep an eye for anyone regardless of court. Hope you don't mind boss." He raised an eyebrow and his voice took on a genuine questioning tone by the end.

Marcus' ears twitched as she laughed, focusing on her. "The lichen's just... there. It grows back even if I tear it off. Some fucked-up fae shit." he looked at his own arm. "I looked much better before, that much I can tell you." long, dark pink tongue lolled out of his mouth. The beast's tongue was too long for a human - and almost too long for a canine. Unlike the tongue of a dog or a wolf, his was pointed, as if imagined by some deranged artist. In many ways, his for had been imagined by a deranged artist. "Valuable he." he sounded puzzled. Shrugging, he shook his head. "Don't think so. Not that anyone has tried to find anything."

"All de more reason to groom it out," Chantelle ran her three fingernails through the fur. She smirked as his tongue lolled, she didn't seem any more bothered by that than he was by her eerie, long fingers. "Mais, I dabble a bit in 'erbal teas an' remedies, you nevar know."

When he mentioned Alsuf he added, “Ain’t need my permission to do what’s right for the freehold, this about Boney Louise? He ain’t been around for a cut, and it ain’t like him to miss a chance to keep his fade fresh.”

Accents, Samantha thought, had many uses. Though the New York kind was hardly hard to grasp. Unless they went into that deep jazz lingo they had up there, maybe. But so far so good.

"Dey is closer by than dan dey whom got warned away," she said, "But I'm just a coujon, myself. Still learnin' de ways of de freehold. Don't even know all dat is of this one, much less any of de others. Is why I'm making the veiller 'ere dis fine evening."

There was no harm in letting the out-of-towner know she was new-ish to being free. It was no secret, after all.

"You came down from far to visite?"

"I can imagine someone will be paying them a visit then, to find out why some are being warned away from your yearly gathering" Eliza brushed a few stray locks of black hair back.

"From far?" She took a moment at this question. Was it far? Where was she before? After a few moments there was a nod. "Very far, I think. I don't really have a place, so I am always far from my previous location. I walk the roads, and go where I go. I cannot remember staying in one location long."

"But yeah Boney been missing for a beat according to Alsuf, Little Spring Fling Queen is worried about it I guess. So I guess it could use a little looking into. I'm no PI but more eyes on the better."

"Sometimes it's quite a large world, huh. Two people can travel many places and never meet. As for the freehold, no. That's not my plan. Although I have heard there are many interesting pieces of literature gathered here" Eliza looked over the gathering for a few moment as they walked on the outskirts "I may have to seek out some to see what the fuss is about."

She looked back at the doll after a few moments, then added "I assume you have pledged then?"

Craig nodded his smile softening a bit "Well you know I try, I dont have much to contribute outside of cracking skulls but I can use this knowledge to help the kids out."

"But yeah Boney been missing for a beat according to Alsuf, Little Spring Fling Queen is worried about it I guess. So I guess it could use a little looking into. I'm no PI but more eyes on the better."

Redmane turned his head towards Triss and the back to Craig and said, “She’s a good sort, we can do her a solid and at least give a helping hand. Boney is good enough folk, known worse and at least he always paid for his cuts.”

“But if you’re in a giving mod maybe you can help out my boy, Tyrese. Kids man… you know how it is, he at that age where he gotta fight about everything. I bet if I told him to keep breathing he’d hold his breath just to spite me.”
