"Fear is normal. Fear makes us cautious." Gray offers a small, playful bat on Dily's shoulder. "It's more of using ours...and theirs, rather than letting it rule is." Gray offers a broad grin. "'Least that's they keep telling me in the Autumn Court."

The Beast skips ahead. "I don't give too much to the Spring "let's all party" nonsense, but I can take a bit of pleasure in turning things back 'round." The smile turns a little feral.

"I do not deny the normality of feelings - they just come to me slowly, I must admit, and I feel them less than I used to." Her form shifted slightly from his bat against her shoulder, and she merely looked puzzled at the gesture for a moment.

"All the seasons have their place though, even Spring. In a way, it is unnatural how we stay too long in one season, or exclusively," Dily actually frowned for a moment. "Have anything unusual come to your attention lately then, Gray?"

"Something. I am not sure what it means yet. And, sadly, because of that, I can't share it yet." Gray shakes his head. "Not that I don't want to, but I'm enough of a risk just poking around. Unless you are ready to dig too..." Gray falls silent.

"This trust thing is kinda hard lately"

If there was a boon to winter, it was how it covered all things that smelled bad, but she understood the necessity of death and decay. "If Lounge is to much, perhap' I coul' be convinced to do you a private performance."

"Perhaps you could. You do have a sweet voice." there was a slight hint of hunger in his voice - and she could likely taste as much in the air, as much as the lake side was riot of emotions, hunger, joy, happiness, worry and anxiety. The emotions hung in the air like the scents of spices in a creole kitchen. "But where?" the beast asked, tilting his head to the side. His plumed tail flopped down, almost as if ashamed.

"Mysteries and riddles is something I always wish to uncover, but I do not force you, Gray," she offered, managing to almost sound friendly in her tone.

"Trust is difficult, yes. It makes it more important when you can have it. Besides, my paws can dig well if need be."

Craig shifted to make himself comfortable for Mina, it wouldnt be hard for the smaller girl to find room on his large lap. As she settled in he pulled her in a bit wrapping his other arm around her slender waist.

As she worked her magic he chuckled flexing his large "Thanks, feels better than new." He leaned down slightly and placed a kiss on the top of her head, his lips were very warm as they touched her head.

She shifted with the touch on her waist but didn't shy away, instead leaned into his warmth, enjoying the buzz. "So I heard Baton Rouge freehold tried to talk other freeholds out of showing up for the festivities," she said with a murmur.
"What's up with that, do you think? Why would those sticks in the mud want to ruin our groove?"

Some emotions were sweeter than others, and Chantelle had a love-hate relationship with hunger. Her chocolate eyes were so dark that the pupils almost blended into the iris, dilating at the honeyed taste of wanting. "If you'll forgive 'umble surrounds, I 'ave a lil apar'men' on de edge of de French Quarta."

"Simpler. Clear. So easy to make a choice." When his eyes open there is a sliver of hesitancy. "Easy ain't always better"

"'Sides." Gray playfully bopps Dily on the tops and then starts to scamper off. "If you want to get that mystery you better hang 'round a bit."

She shifted with the touch on her waist but didn't shy away, instead leaned into his warmth, enjoying the buzz. "So I heard Baton Rouge freehold tried to talk other freeholds out of showing up for the festivities," she said with a murmur.

At the very least they know something we don't and that makes me nervous but tonight is a night for fun and for making mistakes and memories. Let's worry about all the politics tomorrow."

She picked up his drink- or was it hers?- and took a deep swallow. "But what is it that they know? Aren't you a little bit nosy? Something isn't sitting well, isn't that weird?" She idly ran a fingerpad over his palm, tracing where she'd healed him.

"Hmm... I find choices hard to make very often," she retorted calmly and watched him scamper off. "Hang around?" she asked as she followed.
