[Day 5 - LE] Honor your King (Social Thread)

TB said to Tiffani with red cheeks, “Sploosh am I right?”

“Ugh he’s like so bishie… boy’s love all day. Have you had a margarita? These are so easy to drink and I am not even… drinking… or drunk. Okay so you have to have a margarita, strawberry mango paradise….”

She then sang off-key, “Two tickets to paradise! Two tickets! Paradise!”

[Gray]

The beast most fowl reviled among the changelings, still wearing his cheap plastic wolf mask on his snout. He walked around with a cup of cider in both of his claws, sipping from both of them. The sticky drink frothed on the fur around his mouth. He took great care to sample everything he found, no matter how spicy it seemed. The beast could eat anything and everyone.

"Ooh, is that lingua! And tripa! I haven't gotten to eat that in ages!" It's not to much that Gray has decided to join in with Marcus, so much that he seems to be continuing neck and neck with him in an apparent and unspoken quest to devour as much as physically possible. Unlike Marcus, he doesn't seem to be wearing even the hint of a costume...his Mask gone for the evening.

Tiffani turns so that she's half-facing TB and half-facing the guy on stage. Trouble is, she has a bit of a confused expression on her face even though she tries her hardest not to.

Noticing TB is a fox as well as a girl, she gives TB a smile and a nod. "As embarrassing as it is for me to admit," she begins in her usual British accent, "I have no idea what .. uh, you mean by sploosh and ... what was that word? Oh right ... bishie?" At least a fellow Changeling would understand what it meant to be from a different era.

She can't help but allow a giggle or two to escape. "Does bishie mean .... cute?" It was a wild guess, but one made from context. She just hoped she was at least in the ballpark. She realized now she's going to have to research some 21st Century slang or she may as well wear a confused expression for the next half-decade.

"If so then ... yeah," Tiffani says, nodding her head, looking at Bowie a little more intently, "yeah, bishie bishie, I think. And sure, I'll have a margarita. Why not? And I do so love strawberry." She then snaps her fingers as if a revelation just struck her. "Eddie Money, right?"

TB replied, "Who?"

She then went to the bar and said, "Another margarita for me and my bae!" She looked back at Tiffani and said, "Yeah bishie is like cute... but in a feminine androgynous way... it's like manga. Like Lestat sexy as opposed to Dracula sexy. Not that I like him or anything."

[Tiffani]

Oooh, okay, I see," Tiffani says to TB as she waits for the margarita. "And yeah, you're right about the feminine/androgynous thing. I kinda noticed that with the ... you know ..." She gestures toward Bowie with her head to avoid pointing, "... yeah, the heels. He smirked at me before going on stage. At least I think he did. I feel like I missed something."

She continues watching Bowie perform his act. "I'm Tiffani, by the way. Do you know him?"

[Chantelle Rossette]

A stranger glances at tiffani and smirked, he wore a masquerade mask which he removed as he took the stage. He was shirtless with dark leather tight pants and stilleto heels. He smiled at TB as he took the mic. He smiled and said with a slick British accent, “I am a bit nervous, bloody nervous even. But here goes, I always idolized David and since my name is Bowie… well I hope I do him justice.”

The lost then began to sing a rendition of the Man who Sold the World.

Can't go wrong with the classics, between her employment and her degree, Chantelle had an appreciation for music from a broad range of eras, and the stranger clearly had a knack for it. She made sure to brush past him, locking eyes, as she went to take over the karaoke microphone. With a little smirk, she broke into an exceptional rendition of Let's Dance, her accent all but vanishing into the lyrics.

The beast's eyes widened. "You sure that's a good idea Mister?" the best tilted his head to the side, curious as he observed the other changeling.

[Gray]

"Well, you know what they say, eating at Frankie's is like renting your body out on AirBnB: You enjoy the benefits while you can and just pray that the walls aren't splattered when things return to normal." Gray pops another taco into his mouth, scarcely bothering to chew. "Oh, you mean..." Gray gestured to his furry body.

"Look, we're hiding in plain sight which is a start of cover. Then, we are all together for protection. But if, you're really worried..." Gray leans in. "I picked up a Contract at the Goblin Market. It tells me if we get any of...those, around. But I need to be in the Hedge to start 'er up so..."

[Marcus Kendall]

The beast blinked and then frowned, his tail perking to observe Gray as if to make sense of him. "Can't be that bad, can it?" he tilted his head to the side as he observed the food. "Smells decent, at least." Most things smelled decent in comparison what Marcus was used eating to. "Yeah, that's what I mean." a large, fur covered claw pointed at the Grey. "Well, it's your tail that's on fire if shit hits the fan, not mine." he shrugged. "Oh really?" he murmured, growling as he did so. "You think there's one of... those around?" The beast's nose wrinkled as if inhaled the autumn air.

[Gray]

"No, no, better safe than sorry, especially with a few of us unmasking." Gray heads over to a janitor's closet and puts his hand on the door. "Don't let anyone else in" Gray steps inside the Hedge for a moment, channeling more energy as he invokes the Contract

The changeling automatically knows whenever a True Fae, a Huntsman, another kind of Arcadian denizen (not Hedge denizen), or her own fetch is within a number of miles equal to her Wyrd (2), though not where it is. Though she must invoke this Contract in the Hedge, she needn’t stay there for the duration. Exceptional Success: The Contract lasts until the sun next crosses the horizon.

Gray steps back and shuts the portal behind him. "Fae-dar activated. Now we'll know if we'll have any type of those crashers if they come within a mile of us. I don't think any of them will try, but if they do, with the numbers and fighters we have?" Gray's eyes burn. "I would love to finish one off"
