"No ... I don't think so. At least, I can't surmise why I would wait," Tiffani responded. "Apple Festival, hmm? Is there anything I need to prepare for?"

"Just be prepared to make an important decision and try to have fun... maybe sew a little terror afterwards," he said with a pleasant smile.

[Tiffani]

Tiffani gives the king a confused look, but seems reluctant to ask anymore questions.

"Uh ... okay. Hmm ... not sure if I've ever, uh ... sewn any terror before ...but, uh ... well, alright. I anticipate I'll be making quite a number of important decisions in the not so distant future. I'll do what I have to."

And her confusion is quickly replaced with a look of determination.

"I trust you will do fine," he said kindly.

[Tiffani]

Tiffani chuckles and nods, saying, "Well I certainly hope so because, well ... it's not as if I have much of a choice."

She gives Chantelle a questioning look before saying, "It's sink or swim, as I've heard it said."

She falls silent for a moment, simply relishing the comfort of the chair she's in, then she slowly, languidly, rises to her feet and gives the king another curtsey - or as good of one that she can manage.

"I don't want to take up any more of your time, your majesty. I trust I'll see you during the Apple Festival?"

Then she looks over at Chantelle. "Oh, one thing I wanted to ask you is where the library is. I have three decades of history to catch up on so I figured I'd find a few books on recent history to read - keep me busy and better informed."

"The college has one and there is a library downtown, and then of course my Hollow, though I don't just let anyone peruse my shifting collection," he said warmly.

"But I have a good feeling about you, dearest Tiffani."

[Chantelle Rossette]

“I ca’ show you to the library whe’ we done ‘ere, or wheneva, if you wan’ to stay ‘ere fo’ de evenin’.”

[Tiffani]

"Well, I wouldn't mind being shown where the library is downtown so that I have that as a resource - but ...uh ... do you have history books in your Hollow, your majesty? I mean ... sneaking a peek at some book titles, you seem to have a penchent for the horror genre."

Decisions, decisions. "I don't know if having a good feeling means you'd let me see your Hollow, but if it does, then I would be honored to see your private collection. I also don't want to keep Chantelle busy all night - I don't know what your plans are," she says directly to the egret, "but if you need to go, I'm sure I can navigate back to your place. I was paying attention to the route on the way over here."

[Chantelle Rossette]

“I’m free fo’ a spell, bu’ I ‘ave to wor’ tonigh’,@ she smiled warmly, “bu’ you made it to my door once, I daresay you shall fin’ it again.”

[Tiffani]

"Well then, if the king is gracious enough to show me his Hollow, then I'll probably stay here for awhile - assuming his Hollow is somewhere around here, which I assume it is, of course. But if he has reservations, which would be perfectly understandable since he literally just met me, then you can just drop me off at the library." (assuming Chantelle drove us here)

Chantelle glanced about, fairly certain that they were in the very Hollow that the King was referring to. "Wha'eva wor' for you, beb," the egret easy-going and in no rush.


(( OOC: I've been assuming Minuit was small enough to walk everywhere? Haven't really thought about how we've been getting around. ))
