[D3 LE] Helping Hand (Chantelle's Apartment)

[Chantelle Rossette]

Embarrassed, “mais, we don’ ac’ually ‘ave a bed fo’ T’Jack ye’, bu’ I daresay he, I, an’ Marcus all goin’ to de same place in a bi’?” she looked at the men questioningly, presuming that they both intended to help with the dream study as well.

[Jack Doyle]

"I do tend to be pretty quiet. It's nothing to do with the company. It's just how i am." He nodded to Chantelle. "Yes, I'm going to the same place. But, I was also going to return to the orchards. So, I probably won't be back until morning."

[Chantelle Rossette]

Chantelle was immediately, deeply worried. “You no’ goin’ alone are you?” She unconsciously touched the slashes on her inner arm.

[Jack Doyle]

"I'll be careful." he assured her. "No one will see me, if I don't want them too."

[Chantelle Rossette]

Placing her hand atop his head, she smiled benevolently, “an’ no more deals wit de Apple King, ‘e’s ‘ad ‘is claim fo’ one year.”

[Tiffani]

"I see ... well ... anywhere is fine. I'm not going to be demanding considering the circumstances, I suppose. I'll be fine pulling up a piece of floor." Then Chantelle and Jack start talking about their plans for the evening at which point she falls silent. Getting up from the table, she arcs her back in a massive stretch, then walks over to a window and peers out into the night, arms folded across her chest. The usually cozy atmosphere defuses somewhat near where she stands, a chill now evident in the air.

[Chantelle Rossette]

“I won’ ‘ave you sleepin’ on de floor if I ca’ ‘elp it,” Chantelle insisted, “I’ve slep’ in worse places dan de couch.” She indicated to the loveseat, not large enough for anyone larger than Jack to lay down on, “it will all wor’ ou’. If you an early risa, we migh’ jus’ be able to share de bed, I’m someting of a nigh’ owl.”

[Marcus Kendall]

"Yeah, the Freehold needs help with something." the wolf noted, his voice rumbling like stones. "So I'll be heading there soon." He confirmed Chantelle's words with a nod of his large head. "After that, I'm heading to my place. So you'll be fine here, missus." Marcus explained why there would be no need for them to find room for him. "And if Bobby's drunk as fuck, I'll sleep in the bayou. Don't get cold with his." he poked his chest with one of his clawed fingers.

[Tiffani]

"Alright, then," Tiffani says over her shoulder. "I'll trust that you know your needs better than I do. I ... but Chantelle, I'd fit in that loveseat much better than you. It's not as though I take up much space. But ... but, I'll sleep wherever you put me."

She turns back around to take another look through the window but she closes her eyes against the view, her small shoulders rising and falling with an inaudible sigh.

Then she turns back around, saying, "I think I'm at least going to clean myself up. I don't feel human anymore." But then she catches herself and adds, "Perhaps because I'm not. Where is the bathroom, anyway? Oh, and my apologies in advance but, uh, I do use quite a bit of shampoo - for obvious reasons. I could pay you for the bottle but, uh, I only have pounds sterling, so ... "

[Chantelle Rossette]

“Firs’ door,” Chantelle indicated to the little hallway that led to the rest of the modest apartment, “it good shampoo, try no’ to go ovaboard, please.” She said so with good humour, however, shampoo could always be replaced.
