Characters who ate an apple on Day 2
Condition: Apple Bound
The character is bound by the Apple King, they must either shed their blood in the orchards of one of the wealthy families that make up the elite of Minuit or shed the blood of a stranger in the name of the Apple King. They are distracted by intermingled memories of joy and horror, this gives a -1 to all skill checks due to these distracting memories.
Resolution: The player must willfully sacrifice blood in the orchards of the wealthy families, suffering 2 lethal wounds or they can inflict 4 lethal wounds on a stranger as a blood sacrifice to the Apple King, this must be done with intent as a sacrifice not just simple combat.
Characters who did not eat an apple on Day 2
Condition: Apple King’s Gaze
Something hungers for you; you can feel it just out of sight… something quiet and brooding and hungry. It is a shapeless terror that is always there just out of sight. A pair of faint eyes in a reflection, a dark shape in a selfie… a presence just beyond the door. Players suffer a -2 check to any skill check due to this brooding horror.
It does not want their flesh, directly it wants their deepest and most sacred memories for itself.
Resolution: The player must reveal a deep secret to a stranger or a secret that will somehow harm their relationship with someone they care about.

Dreams
The dreams are troubled, though it starts as normal it soon becomes dominated by visions of an orchard and blood and vague images of people chanting and sacrifices and coins raining down and spilling from wounds in flesh and the land.
Those that tasted apple flesh know they owe a debt to the King and must go to his lands and shed their life blood to keep the apples sweet or that of others for a greater boon.
Those that did not owe him their darkest memories, their darkest sins which he spins into the roots and makes the trees grow strong and the fruit bountiful. The more they deny him… it… the entity, the more it hungers.
It is old… older than the trees and the land, it only asks for their sacrifice of blood and secrets and in doing so will honor the bond… whatever this bond is.
The dream ends with them startling awake and red eyes fading into the light of wakefulness.
