Dily continued to nibble on the apple, looking somewhat absent-minded as she did, though she was actually just enjoying the memory it sparked.

"There is also another matter, of the Baton Rouge folk speaking to the New Orleans changelings, and telling them not to come here."

There was a momentary bliss in this experience, bringing back memories of a childhood experience he had only seen in the pictures. A Miracle on 34th Street. It had come out only a few months before...before...

He never grew up with that. Poverty and starvation is what he got instead.

Why it flashed in his head and why he thought of Christmas in such a time was strange...a moment of time when things made sense, but now it was gone.

Only the cruel reality of his life remained. "They what? Why the hell would they do that?"

"Unknown," Dily said softly, nibbling another bite off her apple.

It was just like the orchard apples they had growing up.

"It might be something social, then I would not know or understand, or something will happen..."

"Maybe they know something about what Dily saw and want to keep them away."

It could be just be paranoia, or just a small part of him hoping to frighten his motley. Sometimes it was hard to tell.

"Maybe something happened between the two Autumn Courts to give ours a bum rap. Either way, those fat heads can get lost for all I care."

"Don't know but there are a lot of more pressing things that are here in front of me. That stuff that Boney ODed on, Alsuf thinks it might be being pushed by the Kings. They are a local gang, for anyone who doesnt keep up with mortal affairs. They've been a thorn in my side for some time now. I'm going to look into them, see if they are circulating this drug and if they are, shut them down. Hard. Any help would be appreciated but it will almost certainly be dangerous."

"That's where you and I differ Craig." Gray sets down the apple, the taste and smell reminding him of something...missing. Is that what this drug was like?

"We're talking about the leaders of the Courts Kings, right? Just to make sure that there's a different Kings I dont know about."

Craig shook his head "No the 5th Street Kings are a local street gang that often deal drugs and commit various other crimes ranging from vandalism to the rare murder." Craig thought for a minute "though I suppose it's possible one of the kings of the courts are behind it. The gang is probably just pushing the drug, they would need a supernatural source."

"Then I would doubt Redmane of Summer would be part of it - for he is concerned for his young family running with such crowds," Dily chimed in thoughtfully, having devoured the apple in her hand during a quiet moment.

[Craig Walker]

Craig shrugged a bit "I honestly cant see any of them being involved in something like this. Redmane cares too much about the mortals, TB....I mean shes a freaking college kid who did a research study for 50 bucks for pizza money, doesnt scream behind the scenes king pin." He shot brief looks to Jonathan and Gray, no offense but Autumn King makes the list of possible suspects for me just because I cant get any kind of read on the man" another look to Dily "and I mean winter queen seems cruel enough to not care if she hurt people to achieve a goal." He thought out loud.

Then he shook his head "but we are getting ahead of ourselves, we could put pressure on the gang to talk, or we could try doing it nice like but I know what approach I'm suited for."

Jon's movement paused as he calmly ate his apple and listened in. There was a lot of parts moving than he expected going on, and he currently has a in with the King at the moment.

Not that he would want to think the King was someone doing this sort of shady business on the side, but it did give a small means to check on him to figure out if they needed to pursue it more.

No need to bring up that to them, though. "Keep me in the loop about what you find, please."
