D3 LE - My Sacrifice (open)

[Mina Gideon]

She couldn't get the nightmares out of her head, nor the feeling she was being watched by red eyes - to be honest, Mina often felt like she were being watched, it was part and parcel of their condition, of the horrors they had lived through, survived, escaped from. There was so much to be afraid of now, and never more so than in autumn, when this godforsaken court delighted in reminding you at every turn that you should be afraid.

Don't get her wrong, Mina enjoyed a good spook. But living in fear was the antithesis of why she had chosen to take up the Antler Crown. She would never allow herself to be controlled like that again - and yet here she was, controlled by fear, and aching to salve it somehow. It rubbed Mina the wrong way, and she was loathe to discuss it with her motley. She didn't want to bring this problem forward to them.

Her footfalls led her to the orchards, and she used her swiss army knife to open her palm, leaving a pool of blood at the base of a tree- upset thoroughly about why she did what she did. Tears stung her eyes.

[Lily Heartzler]

After a day full of fear and anxiety, Lily decided a walk would help clear her head. As if lead by a dream she wound up taking a left, and a right, and soon she was in an apple orchard. As if waking up she stood still in terror. She went to a random tree and pressed her back against it, thinking about her dream and how she knew what would cause this nightmare to end. She grabbed her pocket knife out of her back pocket and started at it a while before suddenly digging the blade into her palm and then running it up her arm a short distance, she cried out as blood gushed from the wound, she dropped the knife and smeared her bloody hand on the tree she'd bed leaning on, praying that it would work.

Spotting the other fae as Mina wrapped a silken strip around her palm and tying it tight with her teeth, she moseyed over.
"Hey. I uh, haven't seen you before, but you feel right. I'm Mina. Weird shit, huh?"

[Lily Heartzler]

Lily was startled by the pink haired girl, her hand going to her pistol in her waist band but not pulling it. She rested her hand there with the other one hanging, dripping and bleeding almost lifeless to her side. Her back no longer against the tree she planned an escape route in her head. "What's going on? Do you have something to do with this? We're you the one watching me? I could feel it"

"Hey, hey, easy," she held up her hands to show she had no weapons, and then used her unmarred hand to wipe the tears from her eyes.
"I don't know what's going on either, just... I felt compelled to come here. I had.. nightmares.. I too feel watched. I mean, moreso than usual, am I right? Haa," her sour attempt at a joke fell flat, and Mina looked down at her shoes, locks of pink hair falling forward. "I think we're cursed."

The cicadas briefly stop and the crickets as well allowing pure silence.

Then they continue.

With his confrontation with the 5th Street Kings taken care of Craig went out to the fields where he was drawn. He needed to make a sacrifice. He went out to the field and stood in the middle of a grove. A long army knife come from a boot sheath, he drew the blade across his arm his blood spilled onto the soil a bright slightly glowing orange color it flowed from his more and more until he grabbed bandages he brought and clumsily wrapped the wound.

He looked up and saw the two other lost he knew in their conversation. Lily seemed uneasy but that wasnt unusual, the girl seemed to have a problem with other Lost.

"You guys too?" He asked in his deep bass voice the two would surely see him coming as he glowed in the night.

Lily pulled her arm around from behind her back slowly, revealing An empty hand, her gun left in the crook of her back at her waistline. She then used her good arm to cross over her body and hug her hurt arm to her body, it still hanging lifeless as if she couldn't expend any effort into moving it maybe ever again. Lily saw the girls tears and she felt guilt. If she was going through the same thing then at least it wasn't just her.
"All I can remember is apples and blood. And when I went for a walk I ended up here" her voice was shaking. "What do you mean cursed?" She whispered
Just then she saw the glow to her left, it was Walker from the gym. She backed up a couple steps from both of them, keeping a fair distance but still able to whisper and be heard

There wasn't much else to do.

The temptation was there, so there, to do this to someone who deserved it. Shed his blood, make him feel. But the rules were a stranger. Hard to determine a stranger worthy of such a action in such a short time. So, he would have to take the pain from it. It was fine, he was used to it. Feeling the blood on his hand.

As he entered the orchards, he looked on and saw most of his motley there, paying the same price he was about to. They all shared in the bounty at the same time, they might as well pay together too. He grabbed a kitchen knife and with a swift motion, sliced his arm and clutched his fist tightly to let the blood drip off of his arm and into the ground itself. Dripping down onto the ground around the trees, he keep his fist tight until he felt the debt pain, after which, he grabbed his wound and pressed down tightly, stopped the blood flow as best he could.

And I hope you choke on it.

[Craig Walker]

Walker spoke in soft calming voice "You are some weird apples right? Yesterday? Just sort of appeared out of no where and tasted really good? That's what happened to all of us at least I know that's what happened to Mina and myself." He said motioning to Mina and then himself. "Not sure what it is but hopefully this makes it leave us all alone."

He took a careful step toward Lily "can I look at your arm, I know something's that'll help get that healed up faster."
