Jason just smiled, "If you wish to stay, then I would be amenable to that."

OOC: For the most part walking is fine, it's a rural town of medium size so much of downtown is compacted but it is kind of spread out and having a vehicle even an old beater car is not hard to come by even with Resources 1. Otherwise there is Uber, as the town has no public transport besides a shuttle to and from the community college.

[Tiffani]

"Great ... awesome ... I mean, uh, thank you, your majesty. I just need a book or two on recent history, mostly an overview on things that have happened since 1985. Not books on specific events, mind you, but events in general. Even a timeline will do - and then I'll decide which events I'd like to know more about."

Tiffani seems to catch herself and smiles a bit guiltily. "Uh, sorry for talking to you like you're my librarian and stuff ... didn't mean to offend."

OOC: Never thought about Uber, but Tiffani wouldn't know about Uber or have the money to use it even if she did. Unless Chantelle told her about it at some point and gave her a little "getting around" money, poor Tiffani has to hoof it everywhere. Right now, Chantelle is Tiffani's only benefactor, so it's really up to her what resources Tiffani has to play around with. I do plan to get Tiffani a POS to drive around in locally though when I can.

"I am not sure if my library has such texts but I have something better, the internet," he said chuckling.

"Just not in the Hollow, but Biblos is well connected."

[Tiffani]

"Yesssss!" Tiffani hissed with eager anticipation. "I've been wanting to try out the internet since I heard about it. Where do I ... uh, what do you call it? Oh right, where do Iog in from? I promise not to be too long, but, quite frankly, my curiosity has taken on a life of its own. Like in that movie, Alien, when that thing clawed its way out of that guy's chest ..."

Ahem. She cleared her throat and once again calmed herself down, trying - and failing - to exhibit more calm and finesse in the presence of the king. "Sorry. I can get carried away sometimes." Then she giggled lightly and shrugged her one bare shoulder apologetically.

[Chantelle Rossette]

Chantelle chuckled lightly, it was fascinating watching Tiffani integrate with a world that was doubly strange and new to her. She was certainly impressed with how easily the young woman took it all in her stride.

Jason rose and said, "Then let us feed that curiosity lest your chest burst forth with a beautiful horror."

He walked to the door they used to enter the Hollow and the rats opened it to allow them exit. Once back in the physical world once more, he guided them to his office, cozy with scant books and posters from movies of the black and white era, horror movies. He opened a laptop and said, "Just type in what you are looking for on the keyboard, I already opened the page to Google... it's like a database of everything... and I mean everything."

[Tiffani]

Tiffani sits down in front of the laptop and fluidly types in "timeline 1985 to 2019" and watches as the precise information appears on the screen. She leans in closer just as she did when the king read poetry - as if getting as near to the source as possible will impart even greater amounts of information. With her rather prodigious intelligence, she reads extremely fast. Thus it wasn't long before ...

"Wait, wha? Holy shit, no more Soviet Union?!" She blurts out, truly amazed and excited like a young child on Christmas morning. "Oh wow, Germany finally reunified ... oh my god, there are FIVE more Star Wars movies?!?"

By now, she's sitting on the edge of her chair.

"No way ... no damn way! Terrorists took down the World Trade Center? Jesus .... hahaha, William Clinton looks like a televangelist! Monica Lewinsky, sex scandal, blah blah, who cares about that. Hahahahaha"

She giggles uncontrollably rocking forward in her chair and then back again, parts of her curly mane of hair landing in her face. "I can't believe it! George Bush actually said: 'I work hard to put food on your family' ... ahaha, oh my god ..." And the giggling continues. And so does her reading aloud, reacting to the various events with amazement, excitement, and occasionally sorrow. One thing is for certain - Tiffani is having one hell of a good time.

Jason looked bemused and said, "Just wait till you get the age of memes."

[Tiffani]

Tiffani looked somewhat puzzled. "Age of memes? Hmm ..."

And she typed into the search field "memes." This led her to the kittens and the "can I has a cheezburger" memes which, in turn, quickly led to Tiffani watching a slew of cat videos.

She squealed, "Awwww, that is so cuuuute!" and made other comments like: "Oh, I hate it when my cat does that," and "That looks just like my old cat!"

Until she realizes what she's doing and quickly closes the laptop, shutting off its power without realizing it.

"Oh, uh, sorry ... I don't mean to hog your computer watching cat videos. But aww, they're so bloody cute, ya know? Okay, I'll stop now. I should probably get out of your hair before I overstay my welcome."

She slides out of her chair still looking a little sheepish after starting with historical research and ending with cat videos. She idly wondered if that happened a lot while using the internet.
