Nodding, Chantelle took Jack’s plate and began to clean up. Tomorrow, she’d go to the shoe repair place where they did engraving and have another spare cut, even if it was only for a week.

"Dat remin' me, I 'ave a gues' comin' lata, so you may wan' wai' a bi' before you come back." The kitchen was once more spotless, and Chantelle washed her hands and the cloth, folding it neatly and setting beside the sink.
