"That shouldn't be an issue." he said as he followed.

There were three doors leading off the little hallway, all were open, permitting Jack to see inside. Each room was as pristine as the living area. First was a small bathroom: just a toilet and a shower, both impeccably clean, bottles of shampoo and conditioner on a wire shelf had been suction-cupped to the shower wall out of Jack's reach, a clean towel hung on the rack. Second was Chantelle's bedroom: a queen-sized bed with a black powder-coated iron frame dominating the space, a comforter in dark red. The last door was the one of greatest concern to them, the so-called spare room.

Chantelle had no real use for the cupboard sized space, barely large enough for a single bed. There wasn't a bed, however, "I daresay we'll wor' ou' someting to ma' you comfor'ble."

[Jack Doyle]

"I could make something, if need be." he shrugged.

[Chantelle Rossette]

"All righ'," she turned to Jack with a firm expression, "you'll stay 'ere, you'll kee' de place as tidy as you foun' it, an' you'll ma' yourself scarce when I ax you to. In return, you loo' for a permanen' place to stay, an' you move dere when you fin' it," the Wyrd was listening, and Chantelle took care to be specific. "I give you seven days, if you no' foun' a place den, we can tawk again." She offered a slim hand to shake.

"Is there access to the roof?" he asked. "I'm just curious."

He shook her hand before she could answer. "You have my word, Chantelle. I appreciate the hospitality."

[Chantelle Rossette]

Smiling warmly, "I daresay dere is roof access, I don' use it. Now, le' me make you anoder drin' while we wai' for dat pie."

[Jack Doyle]

"That reminds me, do you have any ice cream?" he asked as they returned to the kitchen. "The pie should be good without it, but ice cream is always a welcome addition."

[Chantelle Rossette]

Drifting over to the fridge, Chantelle crouched down and opened the freezer drawer. There was very little in there, being just one person to feed, the egret didn't keep much in storage. Taking out a small tub, "mais, vanilla wit salt' caramel swirl okay?"

"Sounds perfect." he grinned as he looked into the oven. "Almost done."

[Chantelle Rossette]

Chantelle returned the ice cream to the freezer, opening a drawer and taking out an ice cream scoop and a cake server. She set the cake server on the bench, taking the scoop to the sink and placing it in a clean mug. She filled the mug with hot water and left it to warm up. "It smells wonderful, T'Jack."
