"Whatever you're doing has killed a member of this freehold, that's not an acceptable cost. Especially since your using normal people to push this drug or whatever it is. And why are you counting?"

[Dapper Dog]

"War has casualties, Boney's death will further the cause of the Freehold. But he chose that path, no one forced him," Mr. Numbers replied calmly.

"His death will have meaning as we now have a weapon against the real enemy. Acceptable even if you disagree."

[Craig Walker]

"Did they choose it knowing all the possible consequences, do you have any proof they were ok with dying as a result of your testing? These are people not test subject, I understand sacrifices of war better than most people but those sacrifices come from those who choose to give them, knowing the cost, not those we are trying to protect." Craig's anger was rising and nothing Numbers had said so far was dampering that. The mention of a weapon didnt go unnoticed but it wasnt his main concern at the moment.

[Amber]

Amber was trying her best to follow along, and not appear as lost as she was. However, anytime someone new started talking she couldn't help but quickly keep up and tracking the conversation by darting between the two as she watched. Drugs, people dying? It was all a rather lot. Not the topics, exactly, but the sudden influx of new information.

"You're using drugs?" she asked, almost without thinking.

Why am I here again...oh right, to try to prevent the big lug from getting hisself killed, that's right.

Gray doesn't want to advertise his presence, trying to slink in unnoticed, using the distraction of the confrontation to get into a support position.

The problem was...Numbers was making too good of an argument, one that rang a bit too close to Gray for his own liking.

This...could get messy.

“As opposed to the other illicit drugs he pumped into his beleaguered system? He was a corpse looking for an escape from this life,” Mr. Numbers replied calmly.

“If the Spring court demands recompense we can arrange that.”

He checked the expensive watch on his left wrist and said, “Eleven minutes, twenty-two seconds.”


Betty Daggers just sneered from her place in the SUV, she looked eager to throw down.

[Craig Walker]

"Are you done selling that shit around town? I wont see another corpse pop up on my watch. I dont want to hear or see anymore of that drug around these streets. You get one chance, agree to stop pushing it and tell the other courts what the hell you all have been up to." He delivered his demand through narrowed eyes his arms crossed tightly across his chest.

[Dapper Dog]

"I have all the data I need to move forward. Winter will not be selling this in the freehold," he replied.

[Craig Walker]

It was the result they wanted, the goal was accomplished the drug was off the streets. But it wasnt satisfying and Walker's hands tightened as the anger he was feeling urged him to take this guy out for what he did. But that was just anger and anger wasnt useful. He took a deep breath "See that no more of it pops up on the street, if we have to have this talk again it won't be so friendly." He said with a slightly strained voice.

"So what is the stuff anyway?" He asked after a beat, he wanted to at least know a bout it.

[Amber]

Collecting herself, remembering she was here to help, Amber took control of that suddenly, emotionally, released thought and battened it down. Instead, glancing over the area in whole to keep an eye on things. Focusing her attention keenly on the woman in the SUV, figuring if anything went down she'd be the first to make a move.

Craig would have to get a few questions later, but for now, she played the support role that was intended of her.
