[D3 LE] Helping Hand (Chantelle's Apartment)

[Chantelle Rossette]

"A deal is a deal," she soothed, not that she had any evidence of that, she certainly hadn't been here last year, not like this, but she felt a strange sense of certainty, a dormancy, like seeds buried in the earth. Stroking his fur, she noted the new lichen growths, they had been expected, and it looked like they weren't as bad as yesterday. "Mais, di' you wan' dat drin'?"

[Marcus Kendall]

"Yeah, but I didn't make a deal. The apple-fucker made the deal all on his own." he murmured against her feathers, moving his lips towards her neck, planing a trail of kisses along her collar bone. Marcus took a step back, though his claws were still holding her as tenderly as he could. "Yeah, I could use several." he shook his head, his ears flopping all over. "Been a rough day. With the 'xperiment and all."

Chocolate eyes smouldering, "easy now, we' no' alone tonigh'." Bubble-gum drops of amusement twinkled around the egret as she denied him, she had good reason, but that didn't make the moment any less sweet. "I shoul' introduce you."

[Marcus Kendall]

"We aren't?" there was the usual whiff of Labrador tea that followed the confused looks on his face. The beast regarded the egret, tilting his head to the side even as he let go of her hips. "So who else is here?" The scent of the Labrador intensified as he looked around.

[Chantelle Rossette]

"No nee' fo' de boude," Chantelle swirled away from him playfully to step into the hallway; her sundress, out of season for the weather, but perfectly appropriate the warm, floral scented apartment, swung and floated about her. "T'Jack? Mon petite? are you still awake?"

[Marcus Kendall]

Squinting his eyes and sniffing audibly, the wolf-man slowly scanned the room, his ears slanted to the sides. Chantelle (and Jack if he was around) could hear a low growl.

Frowning, Chantelle turned, "Marcus, wha' 'as go' into you? Jack is 'ere as my gues', jus' li' you, an' if you won' be respec'ful, I'll 'ave to ax you to leave." A stern nutmeg scent emanated from the egret, she hadn't taken the beast for the flighty type.

Marcus relaxed, his ears perking up again. "Sorry Chan. Today got under my skin. Badly." he shook his head again, huffing as he did so. "Don't feel like myself." Clearing his throat, he spoke again. "Don't worry mister Jack, I won't eat you."

[Jack Doyle]

The growl drew Jack's attention and he peeked out of his room.

"Good evening, Mister Jack." Marcus looked at the... Christmas elf. "Marcus." he added, introducing himself even as his cold blue eyes regarded the wizened.
