[D2, EA] Herding Cats (Mina's Flat)

[Mina Gideon]

She nodded to Jon, patient with him, "It's voice commanded, it knows its name, and will respond to commands, usually."
Dily gets a wink as she's checking out the tower as well. "Wait, you guys got more than just a gift card? How? And I hear you about not sleeping... Nightmares?" her nose wrinkles.

Gray gets finger guns pointed in the direction of a cabinet - that's fully stocked. "Help yourself, my friend."
Craig comes in the door and Mina brightens and goes to take one of the gallon jugs.
"Pancakes while we talk sounds like a good idea, yes?" Without waiting for an affirmative, she starts bustling in the kitchen.

[Dilyéhé]

"I got a gift card, yes," she confirmed awkwardly, shifting her head slightly to accomodate for her antlers as she rose up to look at the others.

"There was a doctor that met me and Gray outside. Something about my performance being good... I don't understand, it was just a survey and a book. A very strange book, as we both saw something different," Dily looked at Gray to confirm that she meant him when she said both. "I saw strange things. A vision of something dark in the bayou."

[Mina Gideon]

"Awh man! My group played it safe and we didn't look at the books. But yknow, when your Queen says don't look... You don't look. Rats." Mina snaps her fingers in disappointment.

"But the thing in the bayou? Maybe we should go poke it with a stick?"

[Jonathan Whitford]

Perplexed at the need for those to drink in the midday, he at least could look forward to having the pancakes, though his attention was moreso on this robotic woman, as was Dily's, it seemed.

"Alexa...play The Coffee Song." He looked nervous as he spoke, unsure what would happen next. "Sure, playing 'The Coffee Song' by Frank Sinatra."

With that, the music begins to pick up once more in a something a little bit more familar. "Wow...that is just amazing. No records or nothing, either." Focusing back on the other subjects at hand, "You can scan brains? Amazing." Wait, not that part. The part about the monster from the deep.

"That can't be good Dily. Last thing we need is some giant squid monster or fish people coming out after us."

[Dilyéhé]

"I don't know how they do it," she shrugged. Which could've been about brain-scanning or playing music without records or cassettes.

Dily cocked her head slightly. "We were instructed to either look in a book or do something with the computer." It was fairly obvious that those two had chosen to keep it safe with going for something more easily understandable.

"Many like us are here now. More than usual. It might draw... attention. Like a buffet."

[Craig Walker]

Walker surrenders the jug easily and moves to set the other one next to it and grabs himself a glass of OJ as he leans against a wall listening to the conversation "huh interesting, seems like we had different experiences. They asked us what the voice was holding in his hand. I dont think any of us impressed them cause we just got our cards and left."

[Gray]

"Score!" Gray glugs in the Kahlua and laps at the White Russian with his tongue. "Oh yeah I dipped into the fund and got you a nice roast from Biblos. Extra roasty."

Gray cackles at his own joke but goes somber as Dily speaks about the study. "I think it's more than that. When I looked at the same book, the pages were blank and then they filled in. And from what Dily said I think we saw two different things on the same pages. I think that Doc got his hands on some real juju."

Gray is silent again. "But that's not the sum of it. Best I can tell, Boney Louise is dead, and that's with my own two eyes and nose telling yas that. I was at the place when the cops were takin the body...and something was taking the Arcadia outta Ol Louise. The body looked...normal. more than us, if you get my meaning."

[Dapper Dog]

Sitting on the counter is a basket of apples.



The basket of apples is filled to its brim with crisp red apples. They smell sweet and ripe, delicious for eating or making a pie. Surely you can eat them, or else you might die.

[Dilyéhé]

"Oh." She recieved the news of death with stunted empathy. "Perhaps there is a connection, with the book and what I saw? The book claimed it had a strange name and was made by someone calling themselves Mad Arab."

Dily picked up an apple and sniffed it like she did with most things she picked up.

"I think I might meet the doctor again. He might know more..."

Since the apple smelled nice and sweet, Dily took a bite.

The apple was tasty reminding her of better days, not too sweet not too tart, just right.
