Samantha would follow, when the rat spoke. She didn't take... *too much*... offense to that. At least, there was not any hint of anger in her voice, though the words themselves suggested some choice disagreement.

"Dere's no need for such talk, non? Is one a couyon? Dit mon la verite', are it de Anglais now dat reign in Minuit, with de Acadiens second fiddle, dat dey call us riff raff?"

Mr. Nibbles scoffed and said, "She speaks the King's English even worse than you do, my word. Assuming that was English and not some debased language like German... or French."

"Aller se faire cuire un œuf," she said in response, finding it hard to believe the anglais could really fit the stereotype to this extent.

"Faire tout un fromage," Mr. Nibbles responded indignantly and then added, "And now I shall feel quite dirty for having to reduce myself to such a base response."

"Den let us say it is water under de bridge, monsieur nibbles. So we need not say such base tings no more."

Jason chuckled and gestured to a door in the back storage room that looks out of place it is gnarled with blackened wood. Mr. Nibbles scampers up the wall and twists the knob and the door opens into a place beyond this reality... Jason's hollow of sorts. Inside is a long purple run and lining it are rats in clean and pressed servant uniforms of white for the ladies and black for the men.

They say in unison, "Welcome home your Grace."

A rather curvaceous female rat adds, "Your grace, your tea is prepared in the study... oh my are we having a guest? Please allow me to welcome you, I am Miss Snickers, are you hungry milady?"

A part of her didn't like being back outside of normal reality again. It had been a while, after all, and she'd run away from it all in the first place. But there was also something familiar, almost comforting in a strange way. That said, the rats were a bit much. She'd never have guessed that Whitt had an obsession with them. Or were the rats just obsessed with Whitt? She wasn't sure.

"Bonjour, Miss Snickers. My name is Samantha Hayne," she said. Whatever else she might've been wondering about the rats, it was polite to speak well to them. Mr.Nibbles being a slight exception, perhaps.

"I would not wish to impose, and I have had breakfast."

[Dapper Dog]

"Oh nonsense, bring the lady some delicious cheese, biscuits and a cold glass of water unless you prefer tea, milady?" she said as Jason and Mr. Nibbles continued on down the walk way.

Two rats scurried off to fill the order a third waiting to see if she wanted water or tea.

"Tea will be good," she said, following the others.

Jason entered a large library and took a seat on a chair only to pause and look at another guest working their way down some stairs the Winter Queen. He rolled his eyes and said, “You must have taken a wrong time, my Queen… I assure you I am not hiding any Big Red anywhere in my reading room.”
