"I understand," she nodded once, "I will take the picture book then." They each had their own past giving them the heebie-jeebies, so she figured Gray would prefer not to take the children's story.

With the book in her hands, she opened it to the first page.

[Dapper Dog]

The interior art over the first few pages shows a man in arabic garb introducing himself as the Mad Arab and the author of Baby’s First Necronomicon. He explains that the works came to him in visions and dreams, it reminds her of the Disney style in the artwork even as it seems to get progressively darker and outline things like spells and dark magic and things that no mortal should dare to dream, but should be fine for baby.

She can hear errant whispers or maybe a song for a moment but maybe it was just something from the computer.

As she goes through the book the scene transitions to a more modern look and it shows silhouettes approaching a building and then she sees a woman that looks like her reading a text and she can see a paraphrasing of her own thoughts on the pages and the end of the book shows her entering the lake where there is a large dark ominous outline waiting for her.

Flipping through the pages again just has an A to Z of occult mythology for Baby’s First Necronomicon and no sign of the previous tale.

Wait, I want in too" Gray insists in reading along, not wanting to be shown up.

Dily actually frowned.

"I am concerned about this..."

Wait, I want in too" Gray insists in reading along, not wanting to be shown up.

Every page is blank except the first and last which has a blinking eye... upon second perusal it has the occult imagery from A to Z.

Craig sighed slightly "I guess I would try to get back into my body and see if that would work."

He looked to Eliza and shrugged "sounds reasonable to me."

Leah didn't like Summer, but at least this one she could relate to in this scene.

She turned to the two spring changelings to see if they had anything to contribute.

"Dily, are you also seeing a thing where the pages are blank, and then something comes up?"

Gray gives his friend(?) a curious look. "Or is this one of the things where the paper shows us different things depending on our minds. Like that thing from Doctor Who."

[Mina Gideon]

Room 3

“Thank you,” the voice responded.

“You have fallen asleep and when you wake up you find yourself floating above your sleeping body. What do you do? There are no wrong questions.”

The voice added, “Second question, please tell me what I am holding in my hand right now. You can answer as a group or individually.”

"Like astral projection? I'd explore," Mina's brow furrows at the second question however, and looks to the others, chewing her lip for a moment. "Coffee?"

"Dily, are you also seeing a thing where the pages are blank, and then something comes up?"

Gray gives his friend(?) a curious look. "Or is this one of the things where the paper shows us different things depending on our minds. Like that thing from Doctor Who."

"Doctor who?" she asked, unaware of what he was referencing. "I... see something different. Myself, I think? And something that might happen to me in the future... something in the lake?"
