[D2 LM] Hangover quest for pastries (open)

Lily walked down the street with her hood up and her head down. She definitely drank too much last night. It had not been a pretty morning to say the least. After emptying her stomach and staying curled up on the floor for most of the morning, she got showered and dressed. She always wanted pastries after a night out, something she carried over from her life before Arcadia and all of this mess.
So here she was, walking down the street with all the French Cafes and bakeries waiting for a smell to draw her inside. She walked past a little cafe that she hadn't been to before and paused as someone opened the door. Out with the warmer air came the smell of coffee and fresh baked goods. She could see a palmier through the window in the glass case holding all the delectable treats. Lily's stomach growled and she quickly ducked into this quaint little place to grab a some breakfast.

[Dapper Dog]

Inside are glass covered shelves of pastries, cakes, and donuts and at the counter is a tiny and ancient woman who has both Asian and African features as if she I of mixed descent. She has a flannel shirt and wide spectacles and smiled and said, “Good morning, how can I help you this morning.”

“We have some apple turnovers made fresh this morning.”


Sitting at a table by himself she sees the Winter courtier, Mr. Numbers reading a newspaper… an honest to goodness newspaper. His reflection appearing on most of the glass cases faintly.

Not more than a minute later, Jack walked in. His eyes darted from pastry to pastry, as he looked over the options quietly.

"one apple turnover please, and coffee with sugar"
Lily handed the lady a twenty, got her change and waited for her drink quietly, trying not to make eye contact with the other lost in the room

Mr. Numbers said aloud but seemingly to himself, "Sixteen dollars, forty-seven cents."

That was the exact amount she got back.

Jack ordered a custard éclair, setting a pocketful of coins on the counter.

He fished out a few more coins to bring the total to the proper amount.

The old woman handled the orders and promptly delivered the delicious treats to the respective Lost.

Jack took his éclair and sat down. He nodded towards the other Lost in greeting as he passed them.
