Chantelle listened to the exchange with a dreamy sort of pleased excitement, this could really work. "Mais, it soun' li' we all in agreemen', den. Dere's jus' one more ting to do, before all the mundanity of de papa-wor'," she indicated for the others to come closer, "we ma' an oath more bindin' den de one on papa, an oath to each oder." Tucking back the leading edge of her wings, with Tiffani in front of her and the boys on either side, she crossed her arms: right over left, right palm facing down, left facing up. She offered her hands to Marcus and Jack, if the each mimicked her, clasping hands, they would form a circle, or a diamond.

Jack followed her lead, arranging his hands as she did and taking hers in his.

[Tiffani]

Tiffani does the same, all pretense of humor and frivolity gone now as she reaches for the two men standing to either side of her - a wooden hand and a hairy paw. That alone would be memorable to say nothing of the oath itself. She stays silent though, uncertain at this point if she's supposed to do or say something. Instead, she simply waits.

[Marcus Kendall]

Marcus joined the circle, carefully grasping Chantelle's hand-wing to his large claw, then doing the same to Tiffany, being just as careful even if she didn't have wings. She too had arteries, after all, and he didn't want to accidentally maim anyone. The beast had been a pack animal, and so finding a motley crew felt almost natural, even if he was the only one with a tail. A slight tone of pride and satisfaction lingered around his large frame.

[Chantelle Rossette]

Chantelle bowed her head, grasping Jack and Marcus’ hands firmly, solemnity filling the air. “I take dis oat of mutual suppor’ and protection. I am de Provida, it is my vow to see de needs of all are met, wit’out favour or bias, to the bes’ of my ability.” Her soft voice carried, seeming to reach every corner of the townhouse.

The beast tapped into the Wyrd only as the beast could, envisioning himself tearing off a part of something greater and moulding for his own needs. His words echoed those of the others. "I take this oath of mutual support and protection. I am the Protector, it is my vow to keep everyone safe, without caring who it is, as long as I draw breath."

After hearing Marcus and Chantelle, Tiffani recognized the pattern and quickly thought about what she was best at, what it was she could bring to the Motley's collective table. She thought back to her before life and the role she had had then; it came to her like some kind of divine epiphany.

"I take this oath of mutual support and protection. I am the Counselor. It is my vow to see to the needs of our mental and psychological health, to resolve peacefully our conflicts, and to simply be there as a confidant, advisor, and friend to the best of my ability."

Jack finished the oath.

"I take this oath of mutual support and protection. I am the Scholar. It is my vow to seek and identify the unknown so that everyone may be informed , without favor or bias, to the best of my ability."

So saying, he completed the bond formed between these four seasons
