[D4-EA] Crunching Numbers

[Craig Walker]

Craig was once again dressed for war his bullet proof vest secured, knife in boot, pistol in holster and more curiously a thermos full of ice on his hip as well. He approached the dock confidently the mantle of summer hanging on him heavily as heat washed out of him. He was on a mission to, in his eyes, defend the freehold and the mantle came to him accordingly.

He had sent a few requests for back up but now had only to wait to see if they showed up as well as the guest of honor a certain Mr. Numbers.

[Dapper Dog]

OOC: If any PCs want to show up I will give them some time before I move forward.

The clouds were darkening as he approached the docks and the river waters were dark. The location was a warehouse where fish and were held on ice and prepared for shipping or distributed to local eateries. There was a loading dock for trucks and delivery vehicles and plenty of people at work and the place smelled of fish.


Mr. Numbers was not hard to find he standing out front with an umbrella, although it was not yet raining.

There was a large dark SUV behind him with tinted windows. The driver side window was down and inside listening to music was the Winter courtier, Betty Daggers… she used to roll with Summer but had a falling out with Redmane over some personal business and defected to Winter… she’s skilled with knives and is a cruel sadistic creature.

Music filtered out of the SUV as Mr. Numbers waited holding his umbrella.


Watching the river across from the warehouse is Bennie Wunai.

Craig shrugged if anyone else showed he would be grateful but he could hopefully handle this situation on his own. Never one for subtlety Craig approached Numbers openly walking up to the well dressed dog headed man Craig was straight forward as ever "So Numbers I hear you're the man to talk to about this new drug floating around town. What is it and why is winter pushing it?"

[Amber]

Amber was a good person to have in a jam, and luckily she was never far from hand. Yesterday she'd met Craig at his place, and luckily before she left she tossed him her number. Seemed it would come into use rather quickly, after their spar. Though, perhaps, she was a little late Amber came running up with a casual pace and found herself right up beside Craig. Her mask tossing her hands in her sweatshirts pockets. Looking about she took in the situation, but, being out of the loop as to the specifics as she was she remained quiet for the time.

Mr. Numbers replied, "Fourteen minutes, twenty-two seconds."

"Mr. Walker why have you decided to interfere in Winter affairs?"

[Craig Walker]

"Because Winter affairs are affecting the whole freehold. That shit you're pushing is killin people. So youre gonna tell me about it and if I dont like your answer I'm gonna shut you down, hard." He said through narrowed eyes nodding to Amber as she arrived.

[Dapper Dog]

"You would bring war to the Freehold during a time of celebration?" he questioned.

[Craig Walker]

"I would do whatever is necesarry to defend this freehold. If a court decides to do something that's more in their interests that the freehold's I wont let you use the festival as a shield."

[Dapper Dog]

“Winter has always done whatever it takes to defend the Freehold despite the short sighted rage of Summer,” Mr. Numbers replied.

“Thirteen minutes, fifteen seconds.”

He continued, “Summer should be thanking us, we may have discovered a weapon that will disable our true enemy.”
