[D5 LN] Courting Crows

[Gray]

"That is understandable. I would consider what he says in the field as if it cam from your own lips, if that's amen-able."
Gray cant help but turn to watch as the Queen prepares for a shower.

"But I think we are missing something important. What would it take to see this weapon used in action?"

[Queen of Crows]

"I don't know the details but Mr. Numbers should, I just know that it is effective but in it's current form not overly useful," she said entering the shower.

She continued speaking louder over the water, "If you have ideas I am all ears."

[Gray]

Gray tilts his head to the side, observing the lady with bemused interest. He certainly doesn't seem to object to her taking on this other task while responding to him, but feels no need to avert his gaze.

"In that case, I will try to speak with him tomorrow. Hopefully someplace in the outskirts, or somewhere we aren't likely to be observed. If he has any business fronts, that would do nicely."

"As for how to make it work...well, I'm not a chemist...didn't even get high school chemistry. But if he's putting it in crystal meth, I'd a lay some money that is needs to be breathed in. These days, kids can make smoke bombs over the counter, or if they can get at their pappy's gunpowder. Of course, that has the problem, which is how do you not breathe in the same stuff. I'm sure someone more technical has a better answer, but I wouldn't bother them until this ain't just a guess.

Gray clears his throat. "That's everything for my Court...there is a personal matter, since I've already intruded on your evening. I hear that you are a teacher of the Occult, the best one in town. Autumn has the reputation for sorcery, but I always hear you ranked as head of the back...or flock, I s'pose"

"I know a thing or two about cauldrons and witchcraft," she mused coyly.

"Jason is a font of knowledge but I have more grounded and practical experience through trial and error, I guess. Whats this personal matter you need help with?"

[Gray]

"It appears that a Professor at the local college has drawn the attention of...some kind of being. Some Lovecraftian thing, and he is using the study to find people to do experiments on. Which happens to include...well, the Lost."

"Something seemed off about him, so I took a little walk through his dreams. The thing there smacked me around and sent me on my way...with a book. And I'm pretty sure that its calling to be read. As you said. King DeWitt is a font of knowledge, but as one of our greatest practitioners it seemed the right thing to do to inform you...and see if you wanted to look at the book."

[Queen of Crows]

"Well I never expected Autumn to be so helpful but very much yes, I would love to read it," she said as she showered.

"This sounds like something new and somewhat familiar."

[Gray]

"Well, I have it with me if you care to take a look." Gray fiddles with his claws as he waits. "And I think you'll find that the Autumn Court is very helpful as a potential ally."

She finished and dried herself and said, "And you have not read any of it?"

[Gray]

Gray quirks an eyebrow, and keeping a "cat eating canary" look on his face as he watches the Queen at work.

"No one has. At first, it was because I wasn't sure that it wouldn't eat my face. I showed it to DeWitt, and he didn't seem to show any concern...but no, you would be the first to read it."

[Queen of Crows]

"Clever boy," she said wrapping herself in a large towel.

Suitably dry she said, "Let me see it."
