She joined the giant for a dance on the floor, moving to the music with a carefree abandon. Truly enjoying herself and letting them be carried away -- Letting herself be wanted by someone, and playing into that --

until the commotion broke out, and lost were pushed and drinks were spilt. The sound of glass breaking snaps Mina out of it, and she stops dancing, looking this way and that for the source, trying to figure out what they'd missed while she was enjoying Walker's company.

He moved with her his large form surprisingly dexterous as he jumped and swayed to the music his basso laugh coming from his hulking form as he occasionally spun and even lifted Mina to the music.

Craig also heard the commotion and glanced over, but seeing no immediate threat he attempted to return to the dance when he noticed Mina had gone still. "You ok?" He asked leaning down so he was closer to her level.

Samantha scooped herself up a bowl of pudding, feigning innocence of the crime of stirring up any trouble that others might've been wondering about. Then she went in search of none other than the Autumn King. She would need to express her sympathies for the trouble earlier in the day, and inquire as to the value of what had been lost.

She stared at the man before inclining her head for a moment or two. One showed respect for those with such titles, surely.

"De pudding made it a sweet one," she said. "Would it sweeten the salt for the king of Autumn? De books, dey were of such joy to him, no? Much distress dere was for those who saw flames threathen de words they had gathered to de pages."

"Tomorrow then." the beast nodded, with the tail sticking to the ground in protest. "What are you going to sing me?" the hunger had abated, pushed down by curiosity. Curiosity with a smidgen of longing. Yet, the ambient merriment soon drowned the flickering emotions.

He had no qualms being pulled around, at least for the time being. The beast most fowl followed the egret, his clawed paws digging into the ground beneath. Mosquitoes and horse flies, even though the smoke rising from the charcoals seemed to have culled their numbers. Not that Marcus cared, he was relatively safe beneath his fur coat. "Drinks sounds good." An another emotion flashed momentarily, only to disappear soon. There was a note of anxiety in the air, the same way one could perhaps taste cherries in wine. "What are you having?" Marcus asked, eyeing the table. While his size made him a little bit awkward, his reach was impressive.

With their backs turned, the kerfuffle of shoving and spilling drinks seemed to roll off Chantelle’s feathers almost unnoticed, “a lil whi’ wine woul’ be jus’ de ting.” She indicated towards the table before answering his other question, “mais, dat depen’ on wha’ music soothes dis savage beas’.”

Gray stops cold and pricks his ears, and expands his senses. "I felt something earlier...maybe..."

He doesn't know quite what he is looking for, but he tries to keep his senses open, both to uncover anything normal...or sorcerous.

The scene seemed to calm down, with the troublemaker disappearing from sight. That would be twice now this one caused trouble, it seemed, and Dily would remember to stay away. She had enough troublemakers as it were to deal with, she didn't need more on her plate.

Hopping over to Gray, she bunted her head against his form. "Did you notice something?"

Gray doesn't react right away, his form remaining still as his chase partner nudges him. His ears twitch a little.

"I don't...know."

“Books and are just things that tie us down, even the words seek to entrap us in a world not of our design, I cherish them but I am not beholden to them. It is the psychic trauma of loss that scours my tormented soul,” he replied mournfully.

“I have lost nothing, only gained more burdens to torment me.”

She gave a nod to that. "Dis is so. I too, have lost a ting to flame in recent days. Rebuild on a new foundation too, me. Shared circumstances, curious a ting. Would de king ask for aid in his efforts?"
