Patel's Mother does not seem to follow the example and just said, "That is nice, what's a Netflix? Is that a superhero?"

"Oh no, it's just a certain type of hero. Me, I help hunt down Nightmares...of a certain type. What about you buddy?" Gray turns over to Patel. "You are looking for power, aren't you? What are you going to use that power for?"

Little Patel is about to reply when his mouth seals shut, and he frantically reaches at the space where his mouth was. His father just turns the page of the paper and continues reading.

Patel’s Mother sighed and said, “Chluth vaho dluhgu yilthor gluha maruhlth…” Her body under the ress writhed like there were a thousand snakes or worms undulating underneath and at the edges peaked out black slick tentacles and she continued, “This one is ours.”

[Gray]

Gray looks back to the horror of Patel, clutching his mouth in terror, and then at the sight of the mass of slithering.

"Heh. Heh heh heh"

Gray breathes in deeply, savoring the fear coming from the small boy. His head tilts back, a look of rapture crossing his face, and they joy before his giggles break out into a belly laugh.

"AH-HAHA! Oh, I'm sorry. That would be intimidating...well, if you were intimidating and didn't just pretend to come out of an issue of MILF's R Us catalog." As his head is back, Gray's face begins to subtly shift away from his Mask. Sharp ears rise, and his nose juts out in a ridge, and along with it his jaw becomes triangular. Long canines poke part snarling lips, larger in the front, and slowly fading back...yet never stopping, like an endless shark's mouth.

"It's like I said Patel...I'm more of a Netflix Marvel kinda guy. I hunt nightmares...and this THOT hardly rates compared to what I've seen."

[Dapper Dog]

She did not seem to understand and said, "You are something different."

[Gray]

"Damn skippy I am. Maybe I wouldn't have cared, but you pushed your pawn here into possibly hurting the wrong people. But now..."

Gray tries to observe the being, trying to figure it out, maybe a weak spot he can exploit.

[Dapper Dog]

Whatever it is, it is an alien being to him it has similar degree of dream control but no connection to Arcadia.

She approached her legs giving way to a mass of tentacles of black and green and slick with ichor. She continued, "What is your name?"

[Gray]

"I'm-" Gray catches himself, old instincts from Arcadia kicking in. Names were a dangerous thing to those who knew how to use them, and they could be used to hurt him, or the people close to him if this being was clever.

Like those damn comic books.

It was a casual thought, but something clicks. A superhero identity is picked.

"I'm the Nightmare Stalker. Now, are you going to slither off, or are you going to be my next meal?"

Her voice grew alien as she continued, “Hluth varuk vlothi ulthulhu, fling yilrith, tumal.”

She gestured with a third hand from a longer arm from her dress or was it robe? It was more voluminous with edges tattered and frayed. She continued, “I am Karkosa, I am all that could be and will be.”

“You are a fleeting thing born of flesh made in the image of your betters,” The kitchen gave way to a shimmering platform and a void beyond… he can make out distant towers and impossible structures… not impossible in an Arcadian ways but impossible in an alien way… warped perspectives and ultimately a feeling of smallness…

[Gray]

"Maybe...but I can still punch your spectral ass in the face." Gray pauses and lunges into action, ready to take this thing down a peg.
