[D3 LE] Helping Hand (Chantelle's Apartment)

[Tiffani]

Tiffani remains seated on the loveseat rifling through her bag. She realizes she doesn't really have all the little accoutrements needed to do her hair the right way, so she gives up, leaving it a wild mane of spirals and curls. She applies only a minimalist's amount of make-up then shoves everything back into the bag.

She stays silent the entire time, asking only, "Do you want any help with those?" referring to the dishes.

[Marcus Kendall]

Sometime later, Marcus stood up. "I think I should get going. I need yo pick up something from hkme before I go see the 'xperiment" he explained, moving to the door.

"Take care Chantelle, mister Jack." Turning to Tiffany he added. "You are in good hands with her, so as awful as this is, at least you are safe for now."

With that, he made his

[Chantelle Rossette]

"Dere's 'ardly anyting, dank you," Chantelle refused Tiffani politely before farewelling Marcus. "Jack an' I will be off soo', I'll be back in a few 'ours. I don' usually slee' until aroun' tree, so I'll be abou' if you nee' anyting."

[Tiffani]

"I know," Tiffani said to the door after Marcus had left. She swung her bare feet off the floor and curled up on the loveseat, grabbing a pillow and hugging it. The words "for now" echoed again and again in her mind.

[Jack Doyle]

Jack waved to Marcus as he left. He had been sitting quietly at the table with a piece of paper. Finally, he hopped off of his chair and got ready to leave. Before doing so, however, he set the now folded piece of paper on the arm of the love seat.

"So you won't be alone while were gone."

[Chantelle Rossette]

Chantelle dried her hands and got her purse. “I don’ expec’ to be more den two or tree ‘ours. Try to ge’ some sleep, non?”

[Tiffani]

Tiffani picks up the little paper fox, turns it over in her hand a few times, then gives Jack a truly genuine smile. "Aww, Jack ... that was really sweet of you, thanks."

She places it carefully on her thigh, giggles a little, and lays her head back down.

"Alright, well, you two have fun out there. I'm going to crash - can barely keep my eyes open."
