[D3 LE] Helping Hand (Chantelle's Apartment)

[Jack Doyle]

"Good evening." he stepped out. "It's nice to meet you."

[Marcus Kendall]

"You've known Chantelle for long?" Marcus added, curious even if his voice was that of an approaching summer storm. His plumed tail sneaked around, spreading out a little as the 'eyes' on his feathers regarded Jack.

[Jack Doyle]

"Just a couple of days." he shook his head. His ice blue eyes glanced from Marcus to Chantelle and back. "How about you?"

[Chantelle Rossette]

With a laugh, “ah, you boys play nice, now. ‘Oo wan’s some ‘ot cocoa?” As Chantelle busied herself in the small kitchen, it might seem as though their vision doubled for a moment, seeing the mask that mortals did, a young woman with her hair coifed into two victory rolls, makeup on point, looking as if she’d stepped out of a catalogue in 1940, the picture-perfect housewife.

"The same, mister Jack." he replied with a nod to the elf-like changeling. "Pretty new here. I saw her at the banquet." he added, explaining how he had met Chantelle. "She's pretty kind." the beastly, all too large tongue lolled out for a moment as a gratitude oozed out of the man in shape of a monster.

"Uh, you got anything to cut it with?" Marcus asked Chantelle, wrinkling his nose even as he turned to regard her. "It's pretty cold out there."

[Chantelle Rossette]

“Go’ you cova’,” Chantelle answered, brandishing a bottle of peppermint schnapps.

[Marcus Kendall]

"Oh good." the beast both sounded and felt pleased. "See, she's kind." Marcus turned to Jack, quipping with his deep, primordial voice. His eyes burned with ice cold blight, reminiscent of the Fae lights of Arcadia. Sometimes they just did that, without the beast even noticing. His captors had wanted his pray to only see gleaming orbs of light in the darkness - and so he had been molded.

"She is very kind." he agreed. "I've found that can be a difficult quality to find in today's world."

[Marcus Kendall]

"Yeah, well." the beast chuckled in a hyena-like fashion, sounding tad too high pitched for a creature of his size. "People suck. Don't expect too much and any surprises you have will be nice ones." he grinned as kindly as anyone with two inch teeth could.

[Jack Doyle]

"I can't argue with that." he shrugged. "But, I do hope for those surprises. You seem better than most."
