(join this thread if you participate in the pumpkin event, it is assumed you got to carve your pumpkin before the place lights on fire. So if you didn't roll yet go ahead)

Eliza had stepped back slightly, but she was still closest to the pumpkin that was now burning down the neighbourhood.

Samantha was still observing her own less than stellar pumpkin when she noticed something burning.

Jason was sipping his hard cider when the inferno began and he had to consider that perhaps this was some ironic joke. While his staff looked wide eyed he just considered the hard cider and the flavors it contained, a bit nutty with the spice of cinnamon and the crispness of the apples that tickled his throat.

Even as he watched his life work start to burn he looked at the cup and said, “This is fine.”

All characters suffer a -2 to all rolls due to smoke and heat. After two turns any character that breathes also suffers 2 bashing per turn due to smoke inhalation. After three turns, the character also suffers 1 lethal per turn from burns and must succeed on a Dexterity+Stamina roll each turn to avoid catching fire. Will start official turns after everyone has one flavor text reaction.

The flames spread rapidly due to hitting all the kerosene, some containers of which blew up in a spectacular fashion. Flames spread from the porch of Biblos rapidly inside where countless pages of rare and esoteric books awaited their impeding fate.

This was rather terrible. Not that any concern would show on the darkling's face. She turned one way, then the other... seeing the fire grow out of control. Then she took note of the fact there were rather a lot of books of a flammeable nature around. Some of them were bound to be rare. Possibly even of the sort that only changelings could understand and make use of.

She made the decision in a fraction of a second. Darting away from her pumpkin to gather up a few books; whichever ones looked most rare. The ones likely to contain the most occult knowledge. Those were the ones she would save.

((grabbing 2-3 books of the rarest kind she can find?))

Jack was panicking. He still had his wits about him, but this was definitely unpleasant.

This was a mess.

It wasn't her mess, but it made her frown still. Now was not the time to correct the one responsible, as it was time to act. A shame that paper was so flammable... but a fortune that she thought better of her instincts that said to lash out with the powers at her disposal.

As much as she hated to admit it, it would probably be more fitting to find a fire extinguisher. This modern invention.

OOC: Will look for fire extinguisher.

There was a fire, Marcus could smell. Then he could see that there was a fire. He coughed softly, taking several steps to ensure that he was nowhere near the fire. Well, I this wasn't supposed to happen...

Craig turned around and saw the burgeoning inferno and sighed deeply, he thought this might not be pleasant but he knew he could help if he acted quickly. He prepared the contract in his head, the one that would allow him to walk into the flames unscathed. The giant man prepared to reach out and grab a small piece of flaming kerosene.
