He looked over the design. "I haven't made anything quite like it, but I'm sure it can be done. What will it be made of?"

Jason produced black wood wrapped in a golden cloth and said, “This wood was taken from a hidden place in the Hedge and preserved carefully. It should supply enough base material to create the wand.”

“I trust your skilled hands, Jack.”

[Jack Doyle]

"I will not disappoint you."

He took out his carving knife, softly speaking a few words to it, as he ran his hand over the wood.

[Jack Doyle]

Without another word to the Autumn King, he took the wood and began his work. The work area provided was perfect for his needs and there was little else necessary beyond his blade. However, as the more detailed work called for special tools, he seemed to pull them from nowhere.

The wand took shape quickly beneath Jack's skilled blade. He was precise and every detail of his art was perfect. Finally, once he was satisfied with his work, he presented the finished wand to the Autumn King.

"Thank you." he dipped his head. "Is there anything else you need for it?"

"I am awed, I need nothing else and I am hopeful that you will stay with this freehold beyond the celebrations," he said warmly.

"I have actually been discussing that with a few of the others." he responded. "We're considering settling here as a group, if we can find an appropriate place for the four of us."

[Jason Whitt]

"Oh?" he said curiously.

"New members of the freehold, that is wonderful news indeed," he said with a smile. "Your presence will give me cause to think better of the Winter court."
