[D1-EM] So I hear yer lookin' for a guy

Gray's footfalls are soft as he pads through the sounds of the start of traffic. He turns his head to the side, and for those who can tell, a second set of ears twitch over the illusion of normality. He seems to step carefully at first before taking a bound. The footfalls Gray is trying to track are heavy, and his target had made himself known.

"Asluf is supposed to be around here, right?" He mutters, mostly to himself.

Alsuf was not hard to find, the French Quarter of Minuit was a far-cry from New Orleans especially in the morning. Luck was on the lost's side, Alsuf had just pulled up on his bike, removing his helmet as a woman, human clad in something approaching a skirt and gauzy top over a black bra clung to him. She slowly dismounted complimenting him on the ride but his eyes were focused on Gray. In an open manner but making sure he was aware of his presence.

Gray doesn't immediately approach, simply nodding back at Asluf, and making a gesture in his hand in the shape of a phone, mouthing "You rang?" silently. Gray takes an appreciative look at the woman and offers a toothy grin and a thumbs up, and starts to slink around the back, slowly moving to a spot for a quiet chat.

Alsuf gestured for the woman to get them a table at the diner and then approached Gray and said once in range in his deep rich voice, "What's good my man?"

Gray shakes his shoulders and crouches into a bit of a squat. "Word is that you were looking for someone. I like to be helpful 'round here since ya'll been so kind ta' me an all, so I wanted to see what I could do."

"But shit, I don't want lost thinking someone gone missing, folk be sensitive about that kind of shit you know. Since you asking though, you seen Boney Louise around? Tends to do side work as a DJ for house parties, weddings... that's his side hustle," Alsuf replied.

"Probably nothing, but TB was worried about him, so now I'm worried about him, you feel me?"

Gray nods, bobbing his head. "I hear ya. Mebbe it's nothin', but it's just right neighborly to check things out. I'll take a peek if ya'd like. Do ya know wherebouts, I ought to start lookin?"

[Alsuf]

Alsuf was taken off balance by the offer maybe Boney Louise owed this lost some money… Not his problem as long as he knew the guy was fine was all he cared about. He replied, “Yeah, I was going to head over to his place after breakfast but if you want to check that out would help me out bruh. TB has a long ass list of stuff she wants done before the Boil so that would be doing me a solid.”

"Always happy to do a fa-" Gray snaps his mouth shut suddenly. "Sorry 'bout that, Momma taught some manners that...have problems now." The Changeling clears his throat. "Let's say that being the fresh meat in the yard makes it important to show how useful and friendly like ya are and I would 'preciate later consid'ration'"

Gray slides off the seat. "I'll scope it out a bit...see what I can see. If, that is, you can give the address."

Assuming he has a mobile, he shared his contact info and the address otherwise he just recited it to Gray. it was an apartment in downtown, low rent housing complex popular with students and anyone in need of one and two bedroom slum holes.

Alsuf nodded with a chuckle and said, “Yeah no worries bruh, hit me up if you find anything any time.”

“I mean it.”
