Re: Through the looking glass [D2, LE]
She wanted to plunge the knife in so badly. But none of this was happening the way she'd thought it would. The Fetch wasn't begging for its life like she'd hoped. There was some sort of... 'daughter' running around... and... and... this was all too much. She slowly retracted the knife.
"You have created an *abomination*," she said, "even if I were to let you die of old age, *it* would still need to die."

"She is my daughter and you are a monster, she has done nothing to deserve your scorn and all I have seen you have earned whatever hell you will be going to," she spat back bitterly.
"I have regrets but I never stooped to whatever depravity would drive you."

Samantha had been wavering. But those words; they snapped her out of it. Earned it? Earned what had happened to her? She was wrong to ever listen to this thing.
She brought the knife back up, now with firm resolve to strike.

The old woman shrieked, "You are a monster!"

Re: Through the looking glass [D2, LE]
As violence seems imminent something clicks in the old woman and reflexively she rolls from bed as nimble and quick as the Lost. She is ready and able dropping a hand to the mirror and pulling a sliver of a knife from it… she seems surprised the old woman glancing at her blade and said, “I don’t want this… leave now and forget this vengeance. But if you come after me or my family, I will kill you!”
“Just leave us alone!”
OOC: Reflexive actions to draw out Glass dagger from the mirror and another Reflexive action to negate Samantha’s defenses. She delays and allows Samantha to act.

Samantha didn't really even register what had just happened; and simply brought her own knife down in anger.

Re: Through the looking glass [D2, LE]
The older woman weaved and dodged the strike and replied once more, “Leave!”
She gripped the sliver of glass in her hand, but was hesitant to strike, she may have been a fetch but she was no murderer at least directly or at least as she could recall. This moment was bringing back many things into focus she had never considered in her long life.
The old woman felt fresh, as youthful as she had in years even after some choices she has regretted, in the waning light of the moon her features reveal clay like skeletal features but affixed with metallic braces and hair made of straw though some of the straw looks to be steel wires. Parts of her body reveal bone with digital veins coursing over them.
She was a fetch but she also seemed to be something more. The fetch had to decide as she considered the attacker and did something she never thought she would do… and it seems that fate deems that her glass dagger strike true.
OOC: Dodge, Doji Maiden Not in the Face Technique: 10d10o10h8 5 reducing the attack roll by 5 to nothing. Spending Willpower on attack, she ignored Samantha's Defense as she seems to know what she is doing before she does it.
You made me do this attack!: 11d10o10h8 6, attack succeeds for a total of 8 lethal, not armor piercing so can be reduced by any Armor.

OOC: You will need to make a reflexive Stamina check on failure she falls unconscious. She currently has 2 boxes of Aggravated damage and 4 of Lethal due the attack.

Re: Through the looking glass [D2, LE]
Samantha was beyond horrified at what was happening. This was not possible. The Fetch wasn't supposed to win. But the involuntarily shriek that came out of the doll made it pretty clear that this fight had already been decided.
Her face twisted; fear, anger, hatred, despair. She gripped the wound, watched the blood pour out. She instinctively began weaving glamour, but somehow it didn't seem like it would make a difference. Where could she even go, to get aid? She wasn't going to last long, like this.
1 lethal taken from bleeding out; upgraded to aggravated
Reflexive Stamina: 2d10o10h8 1
Dexterity + Occult + Mantle: 10d10o10h8 3 - 1 glamour spent for Riding the Falling Leaves, can't activate yet until next turn to spend another glamour.
