Well then, that was... odd. She had already eaten an apple, so she wasn't too keen on eating another one so soon; but she still picked it up regardless. And then returned to the room she'd come from.

"Well den," she said toward her false self, "Where were we?"

"You were going to make a terrible mistake," she rasped. "You think you know everything about your family about me... there is so much you do not know..."

She coughed and added, "It never truly leaves."

"You thought I was going to end it so soon?"

She stepped closer, into full view of the ailing old *thing*. She wondered if it could see past the Mask, to see what Samantha was.

"You speak of de man who knew father, who looked de same den as he did when he talked with my nephew. De man dat walks through de centuries. Did you think I would not know such tings?"

She just cackled and hissed, "The blood on the hands of the great families of Minuit is beyond your knowing."

"As I said, you labor thinking I ruined your legacy... it was a legacy built on worms."

She stepped closer, seemingly unfazed by the thing's words... though in truth they did gnaw at her. She took her knife, and leaned in; somewhat menacingly, and then quickly cut off some of the fetch's hair. Assuming she was physically able to do so.

"You tink you know so much, Medea. Why don't you tell me den. Tell me of dis blood. Dis man."

"Why, you have seen it..." she cackled lightly.

"Does it frighten you?" She asked, weaving the hair she'd taken between her fingers. "Do you know what it is? Do you know what *I* am?"

The hair in her hand was just a bundle of straw... she was not a real thing after all... or at least to Samantha. "I do and do not know, and I don;t see why you wish to torment me so... there is little you can do that has not been done to me already," she responded.

"You know *nothing* of suffering," she said, a brief glance down at the straw hair. She wondered if it would suffice for the loophole.

"Look at me," she demanded. "Can you see past de illusion, to see what has been done to me? You think you know suffering? You, who has lived a full life of wealth and luxury? Who has watched my family, and poisoned dem with *her* malice and cruelty?"

She ate the straw hair, and leaned closer still.

"I fear dat de damage you have caused can not be repaired. And you? What do *you* truly fear?"

Loophole: The changeling eats part of the target. This piece may be as small as a droplet of blood accidentally spilled, a nail torn off, or a single stolen hair. (not sure if it counts with a fetch)

She had a child which is amazing in and of itself, but they grew estranged and she had a vicious argument with her when she came of age and it turned physical briefly and her daughter left home and never returned. The girl was never truly acknowledged and was always called a niece but it was really her child she had with a cousin that is dead now.
