[D5 EN Chantelle's Apartment] A Gentleman Caller

[Craig Walker]

He certainly let off plenty of heat as he sat there, clearly a child of summer one could even see faint heat shimmers coming off his skin if they looked closely. He stood briefly and unclasped the front of the vest before undoing the zipper and the fairly heavy vest fell from his large shoulders leaving behind a simple, tight white tank top.

Craig rolled his shoulders a few times before folding the vest on a nearby box "ah that's much better." He said sitting back down.

Chantelle brought the wine, moving with a dancer’s grace. Handing a glass to Craig, she curled herself into the seat beside him, nestling against his stoney form, her floral scent surrounding them. Delicately, the egret dipped her beak into the wine, “mmm, goo’ wine, goo’ company.”

Craig nestled in with her sipping the wine as well "not bad, not much of a wine drinker myself but I can mess with this stuff." He looked down at the egret "got it right on the good company though. So what do you like to do besides sing like an angel and drink wine?"

“I ten’ my plants,” she indicated to the potted plants arranged on a set of shelves. There were orchids in full bloom, despite it being neither warm nor humid enough for them, and an array of other flowers, still in bloom despite the season. “Sometimes I pick up strays,” Chantelle tried to brush off the comment as a job, but there was an obvious pang of hurt and confusion.

Walker looked around "Huh got one hell of a green thumb it looks like. I've seen flower gardens that dont hold a candle to your bunch of plants." He said appreciatively.

"Pickin up strays though? That's an interesting past time." He stated with a sip of his wine.

“Dey feel my Mantle, an’ dey respon’ to dat. It a silly lil’ ting, bu’ it ma’ me ‘appy,” talking about the plants made her smile, but as her thoughts turned to hurts unresolved, she unconsciously nestled closer to Craig’s warmth. “Dere bee’ some new Lost abou’ recently. New li’ me,” able to step back into her former life, it sometimes seemed like her durance had ended much longer ago than just three months. “Mais, it star’ wit T’Jack, dat lil’ wooden elf, wit no where to stay, so I said ‘e coul’ stay ‘ere a spell.”
