Her first attempt at finding her way was... not as succesful as she'd hoped. Which was to say, it was a failure.

Jon wasn't going to be much help here either, not ever really sure how to navigate it.

"Feels like we're lost, Samantha."

[Dapper Dog]

The duo wander for awhile and find themselves departing the thorny mounds and come deeper into a section that is filled with reeds that tower over them. Large stork like creatures stalk the reeds they are crimson colored with feathers that glisten in the light. They have four sets of wings and make an awful screeching sound but do not seem aggressive even despite their size, nearly twice that of a man.

As they wander through the reeds they hear the sounds of a paddle on water.

"De Lost being lost, de irony is not lost on either of us, non?"

She pressed onward regardless, until they heard the sound of that paddle. She turned to her companion. "What do you think? Are dey friend, or foe? Mayhap dey could direct us. Or eat us."

[Jonathan Whitford]

"Probably should leave it to you to find out. Not for nothing, but I'm not much of a sneaky type, even if I am...like I am right now. May do something to throw you off your game."

He motions her onwards with her hands."Just go check it out and let me know if it's safe to continue "

All the same, he grabs a metal rod from off his person and holds it close, just in case. Too flimsy for a proper weapon, but it would do what he needed it to.

She nodded, and moved toward the sound, a hand stretched upward in a gesture indended to be disarming, rather than threathening.

[Tristan]

Tristan edged his way into view, doing his best to remain quiet but also unthreatening as the other changelings approached.

He raised a hand cautioning them to be quiet.

"After the same sound I think?" he asked in a soft voice.

"After someting else, mais dis sound came up 'fore we could reach de other ting."

[Tristan]

Tristan nodded, his imposing rack moving up and down with the motion of his head.

"Just exploring the local hedge myself. New around these parts...well, wherever these parts are now. Tristan," he said softly.
