Something fishy (D1 LA open)

The docks. A good place to vanish and regroup. That's what Eliza thought, however
her first attempt didn't work so well. On a second attempt,
she was able to sculpt her new image, her red hair
going more black and her skin and facial tone slightly darker than her previous pale look. Her outfit also changed from jeans and a t-shirt to...shorts and a tank top. The jacket she always kept handy, a simple black affair, remained the same.
Regrouped and remodeled, she kept to the shadows, listening and watching as the sailors talked.
(3 glamour spent for kith blessing (1 for failed 1 for success. extra to change mien).

A man in a suit, walked along the pier, stopping to ask sailors questions. He carried a notepad and jotted down things from time to time.

Curious, Eliza moved closer, keeping hidden and blending into the crowds as she listened to what the woman was asking.

He or she, it was hard to be sure, kept asking questions of each fisherman and commenting on their answers:
'Have you ever visited the old house on Monroe street? Yeah that's right... the boarded up one some teenagers like to break in to. Oh! You stayed a night? What did you experience?
Did you ever find something of yours in an unusual place with no idea as to how it got there? Keys in the fridge, hrm… hrm… got it.
If you could sense the invisible what would you do? You mean you don't believe there are unseen things around you?
Have you heard of the fifolet?'

Eliza waited the appropriate amount of time (and for the woman to finish her latest line of questions), before moving out behind her and asking "what are you looking for?"

"What am I looking for? A story, of course." The changeling spoke in a grandiose manner. "Haven't seen you around before, the name's Hugo. Are you a guest, perhaps?"

"Leah" the Winter changeling said simply at the name exchange, remembering that name tied to this face "and no, I'm new. Arrived this morning. You seem certain there's a story here. I assume you're either a reporter or someone who's looking for something."
There was a pause as the Winterling looked around, before turning back to this 'hugo' person.
"I have good eyes and ears."

"I work for the weekly expose," he said naming a local trashy newspaper. "85% of our articles are pure bullshit. The rest well... you never know." He paused, "perhaps you have a story you wish to share."

"The rest are your stories, right?" Eliza said in a neutral tone "I don't have any stories of the area, still around and learning the ropes. What can you tell me about the city? Anything that might be interesting for someone who likes the unexpected?"
