Here kitty, kitty [D2, EA]

Samantha found her way over to one of the places she'd been told the cat she was after might be found.

Madame LeRoux, she had no idea what sort of a person she was, or what kind of an establishment she ran. But it was the closest of the two places, and she had some time to kill; so it might as well be spent looking for Louis. Only trouble was, she really didn't know much at all about cats. Well, maybe it'd work out somehow.

A man in a shape of a beast most fowl was walking on the street, wearing perhaps amusingly breaches and red beanie. Spying a fellow changeling, Marcus waved his hand in a greeting. He was fairly sure he had seen the other cursed being before - but was fairly sure he hadn't talked to her before. Then again, some days Marcus barely remembered his own name.

She was looking around for any signs indicating where she was heading toward; when suddenly a giant monster waved at her.

"Rougarou," she said, seemingly tensing her muscles and adopting a slightly more defensive posture; although it was hard to tell with her doll-like form. But of course, monsters didn't usually wave. And she vaguely remembered seeing a shape like him at the boil the other day. So after a moment, she relaxed visibly.

But she still mostly just stood there, staring up at him. She had no idea if she was supposed to say something, and if so what. What *could* one even say to a giant rougarou just casually walking down the street?

"Afternoon." the beast growled, sounding all too jovial to be a threat. Then again, very few things were as they seemed in Arcadia. Beast's tail, iridescent in blues and greens flared to the sides, the eyes on the feathers blinking slowly as if they were observing the doll. "Rougarou?" he shook his large head. "I'm Marcus. I do not know Rogarou."

"It is what you are, non? De man who is wolf, who hunts in de bayou. And I am Samantha Hayne, de one who walks the in-between."

Marcus shrugged. "Never heard that name." He did not protest - he merely commented. "Would prefer to be called Marcus though. Or Mark." the beast added even as the eyes on his plumed tail looked bemused. "In between here and there? Or here and here?" there was a rather confused complexion on the beast's face.

It was odd that he would not know what a rougarou was; clearly not local. There were rather a lot of non-locals around nowadays, it seemed. She looked about when he asked his questions, as if she were only now realizing the conversation might be a little odd to have on the streets... but then, such things had not been too much of a problem thus far.

"Here, there, anywhere. Wherever de autumn brings me."

"Fair enough. Here on business?" Marcus asked, figuring she'd know what he meant.

"I am looking for a cat," she said; the explanation was kept simple, but probably unexpected. "He is black, with orange eyes, have you seen him?"

"I don't think I've seen cats. Actual cats." he coughed softly. "Want help?" Marcus wrinkled his nose, tapping it with his claws. "I have pretty good eyes."
